The development potential of the Municipality is related to agriculture and sports tourism. The sports centre Kunjak occupies 5 ha and is one of the leading sports and recreational centres in the country.
The Municipality organizes several seasonal festivals – Days of St. Vitus (24-28 June), an event that marks the Day of the Municipality, the summer music festival Overload, and there is also the "Winter Jeep Rally (Ser. Džipijada).
Brownfield sites that have been identified and mapped in detail, the existence of the Free Zone "Jug (South) - Vladičin Han" in conjunction with a more liberal business regime and available infrastructure constitute enabling factors for potential investments. Through EU PROGRES a detailed regulation plan was developed for Jovačka Lakes and Mt. Kukavica, covering an area of 87 ha in total, and should attract investors interested in the development of tourism on this mountain. The Programme also supported the introduction of a geographic information system, GIS, so for the first time Vladičin Han was able to have an entire urban plan in one place.
